Bringing together the many stakeholders for this project was a challenge – the building was a State listed Heritage structure and careful consideration needed to be given to requirements for Council events and community interest groups. Part of our commission was to produce a business case for the project to work out the most appropriate use of the building. This was critical to TRC as it was internally viewed as a financial liability due to maintenance required. SWA were charged with ensuring that the outcome minimised on-going costs to Council while maximising potential earnings.
